Mow front and backyard with 21" mulching mowers. Edge with a steel bladed edger. Line trim around beds, house, fences, trees (please protect otherwise they may be damaged), AC, and areas not accessible with mower. Blow clean.
We prefer to use this site for communication because it is monitored through out the day and after hours. We do have multiple phone lines and live phone help to take your calls Monday through Friday from 7AM until 7PM and 9AM until 1PM on Saturdays during the 36 week mowing season. The messages from this site give us time to review your question and give you an informed answer in a short amount of time.
We work Monday through Friday and our crews are in certain areas on certain days, so you will be assigned a specific mow day. The crew normally follows the same route every week, so you will notice they arrive about the same time each week. However, as we add customers, it may change, so we can not guarantee a time of day. Our crews sometimes work until 7PM, so if your yard is not mowed by 5PM, do not worry.
One of our top priorities is to show up on the designated mow day, so we must ignore holidays if they fall on a Monday through Friday. Since we have many yards on the schedule, there is no way we can skip a day and the catch up. If you want us to skip until the next scheduled mow, just give us a call or send us an email, yes we answer the phones and email on these holidays.
We go by a 36 week mowing season. For 2006 Week #1 begins on March 6th and the last week, Week #36 ends on November 10th.
See the calendar here.
Conveniently billed to your Debit or Credit Card the next business day after each trip with continued service until you cancel. Although we are very punctual, keep in mind that your bank does not always post the charge on your account the exact day we click it. Additionally, if we get a decline, and try it later, it certainly will not show up on your record correctly. We are happy to print and send you an accounting review upon your request if you have any concern about the dates appearing on your Credit Card statement.
We understand that cards are lost, changed, stolen, and sometimes are declined due to low funds on a particular day. So, we will try the card again the day before your next scheduled mow. If the card does not go through, we will cancel your mow the next day and leave you a phone message. If you respond quickly with another card, we will promptly put you back on the schedule with no late fee or fee for changing cards. If we have to go through the decline scenario more than twice in a season, we probably will ask you to find another provider. For the few that give us a bad card for the purpose of receiving 1 free mow, we will file against the property and when you or the landlord sells the house, it will be the most expensive mow you ever paid for!
If we damage a sprinkler head or valve cover, contact us within a week of the damage and we will repair or replace it. If you have landscape lights in the lawn, which have exposed wiring, please advise us up front, so we can decline service because there is almost a 100% chance that they will be damaged sooner or later.
We go by gross square footage of your lot before any improvements to determine pricing. Find your lot size by going to the tax records site for your county, Dallas County click here, Ellis County click here, and Tarrant County click here. Our $25 weekly rate is based on a standard inside lot that is less than 12,000 total square feet. If your lot is between 12,001 sq/ft and 16,000 sq/ft, add $5. For lots over 16,001 sq/ft call for pricing. If you have multiple levels, steep areas, or not a typical flat normal lot with good access, email us for a quote. Be aware that we do not look at all lots, but if there are any surprises, our crew will come back complaining after the first trip and then pricing will be adjusted or you will be cancelled.
If our work is not satisfactory, or you think that we did not show up, we do not give credits, but we will send the crew back to redo it without an additional charge, either the same day or the next day if you will call or email a short courteous request. However, we must know within 24 hrs of the service. If you do not notify us in 24 hrs, we consider the work satisfactory for that trip and we will talk to the crew about your complaint for the next trip.
We try to finish our routes unless it is pouring rain all day, in which case, we push the balance of the weeks schedule 1 day, utilizing Saturday to catch up for the week. This is a strict scheduled service, and we rely on you to call to skip if you think it is too wet to mow. However, if you skip, the mow will not be re-scheduled, it will be mowed your next scheduled mow, so the grass will get tall which will create more problems, so we urge you to let us mow it wet.
If changes are to be made, you must make them the day prior to your mow day for them to take effect.
Cleaning out the weeds in your flowerbeds is not part of the basic mowing service or hedge trimming service. We off flowerbed clean up as one of our Other Services.
Bi-Weekly Mowing schedules are available at $5 more per trip than Weekly Service even though they are more work and harder to schedule. Please be advised that most yards will not look their best (in season) with less than Weekly Service, and our guarantee to redo is limited on Bi-Weekly accounts. If your grass is growing healthy, fast, and tall, our crews are told to mow up to 2 inches off the top and try to make it look as good as possible without spending double the time for only $5 more. So the bottom line is if you are particular about the looks of your lawn, you should have Weekly Service during the fast growing time of the year.
Our trucks are fully insured.
If you lock your gate, it must have a combination lock for us to service that area of your property. We offer free combination locks that we install on our first trip. Our crews are very careful about locking and closing gates, but we do not guarantee that a pet will not escape from the yard, therefore, you accept our service with this provision. We will not knock on the door so that you can bring your pet inside, because we have learned that sometimes it takes as long to do that as it takes for us to mow your lawn, so it is wasted time for our crews.
In some cases you may want to skip a mowing for some reason such as back yard project, rain, etc... If you are a Weekly Service customer we allow 2 skips per season and no skips for Bi-Weekly Service customers. If you contact us to skip a mow, be aware that your original schedule will not be altered, so it will be either 1 or 2 weeks until the next mow.
There is no deduction if you build a pool and decrease the size of your lawn. Serving a home with a pool actually creates more edging and line trimming, and less open areas to mow. So therefore your rates will not change.
There is no obligation on either party to begin or continue service. "You like us" and "We like you" makes for a mutually beneficial relationship. If you cancel before the 6 trip minimum is fulfilled, the One-Time Mow rate for your sized lot will apply for mows 1-5. If we cancel you, the Weekly or Bi-Weekly Service rate will apply. If you sign up as a customer, we consider you a customer from season to season until you cancel. Cancellations must have a 24 hour notice during business hours, no weekend cancellations for Mondays.
